Food Sensations® Workshops

Food Sensations®  for Adults is a nutrition and cooking program designed to give participants a good understanding of healthy eating as well as skills in how to purchase and prepare healthy foods. The program is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience.Members of the public are welcome to attend free Food Sensations workshops. Each workshop consists of 4 sessions over 4 weeks, conducted at Bunbury Community Garden (located behind the Withers Library, Hudson Road, South Bunbury).

Workshop Summary: March

Session 1 (Wednesday 8 March, 10.30am - 1pm) - 'Healthy eating and cooking'

Session 2 (Wednesday 15 March, 10.30am - 1pm) - 'Label reading, food selection and cooking'

Session 3 (Wednesday 22 March, 10.30am - 1pm) - 'Meal planning, budgeting and cooking'

Session 4 (Wednesday 29 March, 10.30am - 1pm) - Cooking and an optional topic from the following:

  • Lunch boxes and healthy snacks
  • Supermarket tour
  • Healthy mind, healthy body
  • Gardening for health

Session 1 (Thursday 8 June, 10.30am - 1pm) - 'Healthy eating and cooking'

Session 2 (Thursday 15 June, 10.30am - 1pm) - 'Label reading, food selection and cooking'

*Please note: Food Sensations for Adults is a 4 session program, participants must attend  ALL four sessions.
